Biography

I have been a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1999. My NHS practice is at Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield, London. My special areas of interest include Endoscopic Surgery, Urinary Incontinence and Microwave Endometrial Ablation.

I achieved my degree in Medicine at the University of Leicester in July 1989 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in November 1994 and a Fellow in 2008. I am an Accredited Colposcopist through the BSCCP.

I am a Member of various societies including -

• The British Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy
• International Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy
• International Continence Society
• American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists

I have many research publications and have co-edited a text book of gynaecological surgery ("Advances in Gynaecological Surgery").

Amongst other senior positions I hold include:-

• Visiting Professor, Middlesex University
• Honorary Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University College Hospital
• Adviser on Endometrial Ablation to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE)
• Ad hoc Medical Reviewer for several endoscopic journals
• Member of the Editorial Board of Gynaecological Surgery
• One of the Editors at the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
